MiPhi Engineering, based in Ghana, has been delivering top-tier electrical engineering solutions since it’s inception. Our mission is to provide safe, efficient, and sustainable services, driven by our core values of quality, integrity, innovation and customer satisfaction.
About Our Founder
Michael Abbey is a seasoned Electrical Technologist with over three decades of service at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). His work spanned 15 of the nation’s 16 regions, giving him unmatched nationwide expertise.
After retiring, he founded MiPhi Engineering to bridge a critical gap in the market. His mission is to deliver value-for-money services backed by deep technical knowledge and proven reliability.
Drawing on his experience, he has led landmark power installation projects for prestigious clients including Jubilee House, the American Embassy, Peduase Valley Resort, Marina Mall, the Law Court Complex, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regimanuel Gray Estate (Balloon Gate), Star Oil Head Office, Zoomlion Bin Factory, and the Mobile Water Bottling Plant.
As Managing Director, Michael blends technical mastery, strategic insight, and a passion for excellence. Under his leadership, MiPhi consistently exceeds client expectations while developing sustainable, future-ready power infrastructure.

- GIMPA, Dzorwulu (Generators): Overhauled 1000kVA and 600kVA CAT generators out of service for over 5 years. This included battery and filter replacement, oil & coolant draining, flushing and top-up, radiator cleaning and control system PLC reprogramming.
- GIMPA, Dzorwulu (Transformers): Refurbished 3x dedicated transformers (800kVA, 630kVA and 500kVA) for campus supply. This involved oil changeout, insulation gasket replacement, testing of electrical nodes and spraying. Complete electrical upgrade including transformer installation and line works at GIMPA campus to improve power reliability.
- Private Residential Developer, Tse-Addo (Transformer): Supplied and installed a new 200kVA transformer to support initial residential power demand.
- Bethel Logistics, Tse-Addo (Transformer): Installed a high-capacity distribution transformer to enhance facility power reliability.
- Tang Palace Hotel, Roman Ridge (Power Supply): Performed preventive maintenance to troubleshoot power fluctuation issues, optimize transformer efficiency and reduce downtime risk.
- African Regent Hotel, Airport (Transformer): Upgraded the power supply infrastructure, including transformer servicing and spraying to reinstate maximum performance capabilities.
